Project Clear Skies
Making a difference from the ground up

Please note that effective 2007, funding proposals will be considered once per year, with an annual application deadline of May 15th. While the Airport Authority's annual funding commitment will remain the same, this change will allow Project Clear Skies to consider more comprehensive projects.

The next deadline for proposals is May 15th, 2010.

Since it was privatized in 1997, the Ottawa International Airport Authority has made significant contributions to the economic landscape of the National Capital Region. Playing host to over 4 million people every year, moving close to 124,000 aircraft annually and accounting for almost 9,000 direct and indirect jobs, the Ottawa International Airport is a true success story, bringing the world to Ottawa and giving Ottawa to the world.

But this success is not ours alone.

Ottawa International Airport Authority and the Community: Partners in Success

Responsible for managing, operating and developing airport facilities and lands in support of the economic growth of the National Capital Region, the Ottawa International Airport Authority operates the Ottawa International Airport without government subsidies.

The reason for our success? Strong, unwavering—and unparalleled—support from our partners and from our community.

From our employees and our neighbours to the hundreds of trades people who helped construct our new, world-class passenger terminal building, it is, without a doubt, the community that is largely responsible for our success.

Project Clear Skies, a community giving program designed to fund much-needed projects in our region, is our chance to give something back, to make a difference from the ground up.
